They strike a delicate balance: one which necessitates l<em>ocking the hell in\u2122<\/em> to that heavy downtempo groove while also blasting the noise, solos, and tempos to the redline when it&#8217;s time to get a lil weird with it. Their newest release is a live project courtesy of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dynamitetapes.com\/\">Dynamite Tapes<\/a>. With all the raw adrenaline and energy of a live performance, it feels as pointedly urgent, reassuringly reckless, and riffy as you might expect from popping into one of their local Brooklyn gigs. I&#8217;ll be honest: it&#8217;s really nice to bang your head to. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Matt (guitar\/vox for Cometa Negra) had a few words to share with us:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>I\u2019ve always thought about the band primarily as a live act, and we deliberately structured our first record like we were putting together a setlist. And, sure enough, we\u2019d been playing that setlist out live for about a year after we released it. So when my friend Billy from Dynamite Tapes approached me with the idea of doing a live version of the record, I jumped at the opportunity.
